A year ago today I gave birth to the sweetest little girl. I still think it's so surreal that I'm a mom. Anyway, here is a sneak peak of her room. I been looking forward to decorate my baby's room ever since I was a kid (and my mom refused to paint my room pink.. now I have turned up just like her:)

I wore this crown as a bride, so I love that I can use it again (hanging over her bed). As you see from the title of this post, the keywords for her room is forest princess. Another keyword is sheep! Yup, it's a tough one..

I think those before and after pics will have to wait for a while. No rooms are completely finished. But I'll continue with the snippets. The blue fabric you see is from our couch. We got it from the previous owners of the house and we like it very much! It's from the late 60's. And the "new" vintage ladder is also very loved.

We are really happy about how the floor turned out. It's actually vinyl flooring, but it looks so realistic! The keywords for our new kitchen is; white, gray, linen, metal, chicken wire, leather, wood and green..

I'm sorry, I know most people are very tired of Christmas decorations by now, but I just had to show you our Christmas tree. It's so small that only my birds and some flowers could fit in it. It's a potted tree, so hopefully I will have the same tree next year.

Long time no see! We have finally moved in to our new home, got internet access again and are ready to show some of the things we have done to our place so far. I also used a glue gun for this project. This can also be flower vase, but if you are intending to use it as a tealight holder I would recommend to use a jar with a wider neck cause this can get really hot.

A hot tip; If you need a lot of small jars, then ask someone with a baby. We end up with tons of them! At least I do..

Drop some drops of essential oil (e.g. lavender oil) on coconut fibers, put it in a favor bag and hang it on the gift with dried flowers. The recipient can later use it in a closet to give the clothes a nice smell.

Some people can't get enough of shoes, I can't get enough rubber stamps. Expensive to buy, but can last for a lifetime. Here I have used two stamps to decorate the plain gift paper. Sometimes I stamp "To:" and "From:" directly on the gift paper as well.

After being on my first vacation with a baby I must say that this pice of cloth is a must have! There are many kinds that can be bought, mine is a Moby wrap. It's so comfortable to wear, easy to get around with and it's better for the baby's back and hips to be carried in this compeared to other carriers.

But I must warn you - It can be pretty embarrassing to try to get a hang of the wrapping in public..

Very simple, but elegant. The "septer" didn't turn out as I planned at all. I wanted the florist to twist some of the ribbon I gave her (from my dress) together with wire and make it look like a golden septer. For some reason she didn't.. But maybe I can hand over the idea to somebody else?

The first thing I bought preparing for the baby's arrival was this chair from IKEA. (I don't think it comes in the same color anymore). It's so nice to have a comfy place to breastfeed my baby! My husband treats that chair as my holy cow.. knowing that I spend hours and hours in that chair, helping me not to develop back pain.

My generous mom used the linnen fabric "Aina" from IKEA to sew me a nursing pillow. I have used that fabric for making other things as well - love when things are matching:)

I have to share this piece of art with you. Isn't this one of the most gorgeous wedding bouquets you have ever seen? The bride (Benedicte) were holding an oil lamp that was given to her mom when the bride was a newborn baby. The reason it was given to her mom was because everyone thought she was dying, but she survived:)

Yesterday was a great day! We got to announce our little, big secret to the world! I was thinking so much for ideas to find the perfect way of the announcement and were really happy when I came up with this one. I love that our camera has a video function! Not the best quality, but I think it's really charming.

If a butterfly suddenly decide to visit your home, it will probably end up on a window. Then it's a little tricky to get it outside without removing its magic flying dust. First of all I think you should take a picture of the beauty.

A clear glass and a piece of paper should do the job. Don't keep it there to long though, cause the air is running out!

Not to much blogging lately cause I'm enjoying lazy summer days. My only task is to make sure we got fresh flowers at my parents cabin every day. I love keeping the bouquets simple and combining flowers and straw, sticks or leaves.

I really wish we had the same tradition with yard sales in Norway. It's so easy and so cheap. This picture is from the "barn sale" we did for our landlord. We had a blast that day!
