So, I'm trying to pass on my suitcase addiction to my little daughter. This suitcase we use for bringing a few toys with us when we're on small trips.

..baby birthday party

We had a really fun time this weekend when we gathered a lot of babies and their parents for our girls first birthday party. I have been so inspired by many theme parties I have seen online, so I wanted to do to a theme party for my girl as well. The theme was "Bœ bœ lille lam" (a Norwegian song - bah bah, little lamb), since my girl loves sheep and says "bah" a lot!

When the first guest arrived I was really surprised!!.. I totally forgot when I had invited the guest! or.. I thought it was an hour later than when they actually arrived. Yup, that's me. And everyone who know us know that they shouldn't arrive to early when they are gonna visit us - cause we are reaaaaally last minute persons. Anyway, I had to ignore our very messy house, super quickly decorate the cake table and hurry up snapping some photos (while I still was baking and figuring out what my baby should wear..). We were lucky to get a lot of help from our very nice guests.

I designed the printable decorations for the party (hit me an e-mail if you want to reuse it) and made a little gift to all the babies (I'll blog about it later). We also had a photo booth were the babies where posing on a little lamb or a lambskin (depending on their age), or next to the lamb if even the baby was unborn (never to small to join a birthday party!)

I think I'll never get tired of doing this, though it's very time consuming..

..forest princess birthday girl

A year ago today I gave birth to the sweetest little girl. I still think it's so surreal that I'm a mom. Anyway, here is a sneak peak of her room. I been looking forward to decorate my baby's room ever since I was a kid (and my mom refused to paint my room pink.. now I have turned up just like her:)

I wore this crown as a bride, so I love that I can use it again (hanging over her bed). As you see from the title of this post, the keywords for her room is forest princess. Another keyword is sheep! Yup, it's a tough one..

..baby shower idea

In January my incredible friend Kristina threw me a baby shower, and she asked my friends to bring eighter a little piece of fabric or knit / chrochet a little square. I just received the result. I think it's so charming and my baby LOVES it! What a great idea, thank you Kish!

..pride and prejudice

My little beauty with her ever changing hairstyle got this awesome onesie from Brooke, a dear friend of us. Check out her and her husbands great etsy shop!

..baby wrap

After being on my first vacation with a baby I must say that this pice of cloth is a must have! There are many kinds that can be bought, mine is a Moby wrap. It's so comfortable to wear, easy to get around with and it's better for the baby's back and hips to be carried in this compeared to other carriers. 

But I must warn you - It can be pretty embarrassing to try to get a hang of the wrapping in public..

..nursing time

The first thing I bought preparing for the baby's arrival was this chair from IKEA. (I don't think it comes in the same color anymore). It's so nice to have a comfy place to breastfeed my baby! My husband treats that chair as my holy cow.. knowing that I spend hours and hours in that chair, helping me not to develop back pain. 

My generous mom used the linnen fabric "Aina" from IKEA to sew me a nursing pillow. I have used that fabric for making other things as well - love when things are matching:)

..glowing bunny

This is the cutest night lamp I have ever seen! It's cordless and just perfect for a nervous new mom as myself who has to check the baby for every single sound she makes during the night. Bought at Sprell in Oslo

..baby shower beyond words

An old way of crocheting

This was my first advanced knitting project ever. And it also took me forever to fisish it. The buttons are vintage ones that I found at a yard sale. I'm planning on putting a flower on it to save us from "what a cute litt boy" comments....

..much wanted cake

My baby girl is 1 month old already! So I want to celebrate with showing you this beautiful diaper cake my aunt Rigmor made for Nora (It used to be a fresh rose on top of it). Such a perfect gift! If you want to know how you can make one, go to this site.

This lovely box is filled with money. 30 people have been guessing the time and date our baby will be born, and whoever is closest gets the money. Everyone had to put 20 kroner ($3,50) in the box to join the contest. I really wonder who the winner will be..

Today I thought I'd share a book tip with you. This pregnancy journal really stands out from the crowd! It's full of great advices, funny stories, earth-friendly tips, tons of product information and a lot more.. I recommend it to all my pregant friends!

..color schemes

Some color schemes simply makes my heart go YES! If I were to put together a nursery right now I think I would have choosen these colors, though they might seem more like typical boy colors.. (I'm having a girl). But for now we are living in a tiny appartment and I really want all the new baby gear to match the rest of the interior. That's actually a tough one!
